Subscriptions: a new section for a transparent overview of your subscription

PRODUCT UPDATE

Subscriptions: a new section for a transparent overview of your subscription

We have added a new Subscriptions section to Symfio, giving every client an overview of what they actually use from their subscription. It isn’t an invoice or a user setting – it is a transparent statement of the state of your instance, available in real time.

Where to find the section

You’ll find Subscriptions at the bottom of the left menu. The item is visible to all users in your organisation. However, only the so-called subscription admin can see the detail with specific numbers.

Subscription admin: who it is and why

The subscription admin is the only person in Symfio with access to the detail of your subscription. By default, it is the ordering person named in the original contract – typically the CFO, finance director or COO, depending on who signed the Symfio contract for your group.

Why only one person? Because the subscription overview contains information that doesn’t belong in an ordinary dashboard – numbers of resources used, connected entities, volumes of accounting data. These numbers make sense to the person responsible for the contractual relationship, not to every reporting user.

What you’ll see in the detail

In the Subscriptions detail you’ll find a complete overview of what your organisation actually uses in Symfio:

  • Number of active users
  • Number of entities on the platform
  • Entities with a connected income statement plan
  • Entities with an active cash flow forecast
  • Number of imported Excel files
  • Types and number of dashboards in use
  • External plans and menu links
  • Total number of accounting journal rows across all entities

These numbers update continuously and reflect your actual state, not estimates from the contract. For selected metrics (users, entities, plans), a drill-down to the specific list is available.

Changing the subscription admin

The subscription admin can’t be changed directly in the app. We make the change on our side – just send an email to support@symfio.app asking to transfer access to a new person. This procedure is intentional: it protects your organisation from unwanted transfers of administrative rights and ensures every change is verified.

If the ordering person from the contract has left the company or their role has changed, we recommend making the change as soon as possible – so it is always clear who has the subscription detail under control.

Why we are doing this

Symfio wants clients to always have a clear overview of what they have. Subscriptions is another step in how we bring transparency – not only in the reporting we deliver to our clients, but also in the relationship between you and Symfio.
