Your financial data is kept in Microsoft Azure within the European Union. Only the people you choose can see it, and every sign-in uses two-factor authentication.

Hosted on Microsoft Azure, data stored in the EU
Symfio runs in Microsoft Azure’s secure cloud on every subscription, and your data is managed within the European Union, meeting the certifications required for data protection, such as ISO 27001 or ISO 27017, in line with GDPR. It runs in the browser with nothing to install.
Communication between your browser and Symfio is encrypted, the application is protected against cross-site scripting and request forgery, and we run regular security audits and updates, with a process for responding quickly to incidents. Connectors only read from your accounting systems and never write into them.
Access and user role management
Administrators manage settings, data sources, mapping and plans; viewers can only look. Users see only the companies they’ve been given access to, and you can reduce someone’s view to a single dashboard with everything else hidden.
Two-factor authentication is required on every subscription, by authenticator app, email or SMS, and your subscription details are visible only to the subscription admin named in your contract.
GDPR and data protection
Personal data is processed in line with GDPR, and any third party that processes data for us does so under a data processing agreement, as Article 28 of the GDPR requires. Documentation for your GDPR review is included with every subscription.
